August 14 New Chapters In Life (Grade 9 School Journal)I want to make sure that this is my best year ever. Despite of what I told myself years before hoping that this dream will come true, it's hard to make it come true, so I decided to take some vivid steps and actions in making that happen.
1. Social Justice is back:
When I was in Grade 7 I was the Chairman of this club and it helped me win a citizenship award, I would like to win that again if possible, plus it would look good on my college application along with my volunteering times to help teach grade 3 kids Chinese. But the most important for this is...I want to help others, every 2 monthes we'll focus on a new theme, hopefully Ms. Munroe and Mrs. Vandenberg will allow for it to happen and lot's of people will join, I know my friends are (They're eager to help out!)
2. Piano Levels 7 and 8 in one year?
To learn a new skill and of course, university credits! Plus my rents' want me to finish the 8th level before High School starts because my mom wants me to take full IB, I don't even know if I'm qualified! That's why I have to study hard this year. Plus, the vacaiton plans are tesitng for level 8 in June so I can get July/August off all to China, and testing for level 7 in the January so we can go to Hawaii for Spring! sounds fun! :).
3. Revised study plan
I understand that life isn't that exciting when everything is planned out and such, but I seriously need to pull it together this year. I have already disappointed mom and dad in Grade 8, and I certainly don't want that to happen again, but the point is, if I want to get into Law school and have a high income job, this is price I have to pay, and I'm wiling to give that up if it means following my mom's outstanding legacy in Arithmetics and my dad's in presevering and becoming the family pride.
4. Art Lessons and Swimming
Both lessons to increase University credits but most importantly to learn a new skill. Well, actually, art lessons haven't started yet. Mom and Dad are taking me to meet my possible upcoming art teacher tomrrow at 2;30, he specializes in teaching oil painting and water art, two things that I have no clue how to do but would like to learn!

P.S. I'll be adding more later! Because I have a lot of ideas that I'm ready to showcase with you guys! Just got to go to bed now! :)
P.S.S. Be sure to leave a comment about your oals and resolutions to make this year your best! I'm looking forward to reading them! And who knows, maybe I'll put them in the Reader's Hall of Fame! :) August 06 Back from L.A and uber bored :POk so, I'm back from L.A., actually I came back 2 days ago, I was just too lazy to update :D
Sorry I didn't write while I was there, I should have bought my laptop shouldn't I??? But everyday after we come back I am just SO TIRED to write anything! We pretty much had to walk everywhere, not too many restaurants were near us so I never actually ate a good meal - The only thing I ever ate for 15 meals in 5 days is pretty much burger, fries and a soda :), but since we walked like for 6 hours a day, I burned all the fat off.
We stayed at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel and it was frickin' awesome, there was free soft drinks on every floor whenever you like and there was also an outdoor waterpark right under our hotel room, we stayed on the sixth floor :P - second highest next to seven.
Now about Disneyland, ok first of all - YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY PEOPLE THERE WAS. There was more people on a Monday then a Saturday, guess they skipped work eh? But the good thing about Disneyland was, everyday was a celebration, everyday they had freworks, and everyday you could go on rides.
But.....EVERYDAY YOU HAD TO LINEUP FOR EVERYTHING.
I swear, we lined up to get napkins and ketchup, we lined up to go to bathroom, and most of the rides, you have to at least wait 30 MINUTES.
Here are some rides that I recommend you go on if you have a chance to go to Disneyland :Where dreams come true.
1. Autopia (Tomorrowland) --This driving ride is so much fun, I went on it 4 times!
2. Snow white's scary adventures (Fantasyland) --Kinda like a haunted house for little kids, pretty cool though -Teens can go on it too.
3. ***Indiana Jones and the temple of the forbidden eye (Adventureland) --Who doesn't love Indiana Jones? But this is the ride where we had to wait for 40 minutes (Unless you have a fastpass)
4. *Pirates of the Caribbean (Frontierland) --Really cool structures and models of the movie, seems really real - you have to check it out.
5. Finding Nemo Submarine ride (Tomorrowland) --This was the ride that we had to wait for the LONGEST. And it wasn't even the best! But check it out if you're a fan of Nemo.
Sorry, I'm really tired, my body feels wack, I need vitamin D!!! All the sunshine in Calgary is gone!!!! :(((( |
